Rush, age 82, finished his race on Sunday, July 26, 2020. He was born in Bastrop, LA. Rush battled Alzheimer's for several years and recently tested positive for COVID-19, a few days later Father called him home. He was a believer in Jesus and accepted Him as his Lord and Savior. He was known for always having big gardens that always thrived, building beautiful handmade furniture out of wood, a wordsmith, and a talented painting and drywall sub-contractor. From the time his younger brother Steve was 6-10 years old, Rush would walk him to church. Now, Steve and his spouse, Sara, are missionaries, and have traveled to many countries sharing the gospel.
Rush is survived by his daughter, Christina Martone (Richard); sons, Jesse Hudson (Jessie), Ricky Hudson; brothers, Paul Hudson, Mark Hudson (Sandra), Steve Hudson (Sara); and sister, Barbara Edwards.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Hudson and Gladys Duren; and daughter, Charissa Johnson.
A cremation was held and private family services will be held at a later date.
