Evata Gail Buford Warner, age 66, returned to her heavenly home on Tuesday July 7, 2020. She was a native of Munford, Tennessee and a longtime resident of Hammond, Louisiana where she and her husband William made their home and raised their children William Jr. and Ashley. Evata retired after 30 years of service with the Louisiana Department of Education at the Hammond Developmental Center. She served as a member of the Greater Saint James A.M.E. Church Women’s Missionary Society, Usher Board, and Trustees. She never met a stranger and made new friends wherever she went and touched the lives of many.
