Miller announces road work for July 20-24
AMITE—Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said DOTD will close a portion of LA 1054 next week to replace a cross drain.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said crews will be working on a section of LA 1054 that is located approximately .4 miles north of its intersection with LA 16. The roadway will be closed from approximately 7 a.m. on Monday, July 20, until 5 p.m. on Friday, July 24, weather permitting, for the construction work.
Traffic will be detoured north to LA 10 during this closure, Miller said.
Miller said the cross drain work is one of many road projects planned for next week.
Miller said Vinyard Trace Road is scheduled to be closed throughout the day starting Monday, July 20, and continuing through Friday, July 24, for emergency repairs. It will be closed between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during this construction work. Only emergency vehicles will be allowed through the roadway during this repair time. Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate exit if traveling in the subdivision.
In addition to these projects, the parish contractor has the following work scheduled, weather permitting:

*On Wednesday, July 22, paving continues on 3rd Street, East Hanson, Barnes, Falcon, and School Section Road;
*On Thursday, July 23, the contractor will pave Falcon, Barnes, School Section, and Barringer Drive;
