Ken Benitez / Tuesday, January 5, 2021 / Categories: Latest Stories, Crime Loranger man arrested for Springfield shooting From LPSOSHOOTING INVESTIGATION UPDATE: MAN IN CUSTODYSheriff Jason Ard confirms that one male is in LPSO custody at this time.Sheriff Ard says, ‘LPSO detectives obtained information that a Curtis Savoie was responsible for a shooting incident in Livingston Parish yesterday. Savoie was located today at a residence off of Heritage Lane in Springfield. Detectives also recovered the vehicle involved. During this investigation, Savoie was also found to be in possession of firearms & illegal narcotics - all of which was recovered by detectives.’Savoie, from Loranger, is currently in the Livingston Parish Detention Center. Sheriff says the victim in this case is listed as stable at this hour. This investigation continues.Special thanks to members of the U.S. Marshals task force for their assistance on this case.Around 9:00 a.m. Monday, deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 25,000 stretch of Hwy 43 in Springfield in reference to a shooting incident.Sheriff Jason Ard says, ‘I can tell you that one victim was transported to a local hospital. The victim was struck twice in the lower extremities. That victim was taken into surgery.
