Lacombe man killed in Airport Road wreck

Shortly before 8am Tuesday, December 22, Slidell Police responded to a single vehicle accident on Airport Road near Meadows Boulevard.

The preliminary investigation indicates a 2010 Cadillac CTS was traveling north at a high rate of speed. For unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway, overturned, and struck a utility pole. The driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old, Colin Vivien (Lacombe, LA), was ejected and sustained fatal injuries during the crash. Impairment is suspected to be a contributing factor, and toxicology results are pending.

A fatality accident is never easy to investigate, but is extremely difficult during the holiday season. Slidell Police would like to take this opportunity to remind motorists about the importance of wearing seat belts, as well not driving impaired.
