HAMMOND---On November 23, from 10 AM to 2 PM, Hammond Branch Library will host its annual Science Explo.
This free event immerses attendees in the sights and sounds of science through hands-on experiments.
There will be engaging activities and demonstrations on-site including the Global Cardboard Challenge where children are invited to create and build structures from recycled cardboard and other materials, an Experimentation Station ran by the Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Teaching and Learning, and a Toodler Mini STEM area for our younger attendees. The event will also include a showing of the National Geographic documentary, Journey to the Edge of the Universe.
“Every year we see our Science Explo! grow in both participants and volunteers,” said Tangipahoa Parish Library Director, Barry Bradford. “We believe promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math is crucial to the future, and we love watching students discover more about the amazing world we live in.
