Entergy Louisiana extends time for bill-paying

From Entergy

As our state reopens, we recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic is still affecting our customers and understand how disruptive this continues to be. As neighbors and fellow Louisianans, I want you to know that we’re in this together and we are here to help. That is why we are taking extraordinary steps to do everything we can to help our customers.

If you have experienced difficulty from COVID-19, we want to provide you with the time necessary to successfully navigate the financial hardships that it has created for you and your family.

Entergy Louisiana has implemented an Enhanced Customer Assistance Plan; we’re waiving late fees and offering flexible options to extend time to pay. Any customer who is experiencing financial hardship is eligible to take up to six months to pay their current bill and/or unpaid balances.
Residential customers have an additional option to enroll in our Level Billing Program that will fold in any unpaid balances along with their current bill to be paid or “averaged” over a period of 12 months.

If you have a past due balance and have not contacted us, we encourage you to do so to make payment arrangements, and access other enhanced customer assistance offers while they are available.

We will continue to monitor the pandemic impact in Louisiana and update our Enhanced Customer Assistance Plan as appropriate. We will also continue to communicate any changes to our plan throughout the process.

For your convenience, new self-service options are available to select the extended payment arrangement that works for you. Visit, or select Deferred Payment on the Entergy Mobile App, or call 1-800-ENTERGY (1-800-368-3749) and follow our automated response system billing and payment menu.
Some customers have unique circumstances that may require special assistance. We encourage them to contact us at 1-800-ENTERGY (1-800-368-3749) for help with their unpaid balance.
We are also helping guide our customers, including low-income customers, to federal, local and state financial assistance while it is still available. You can access this information at

I urge you to be cautious, as scammers are working to take advantage of the fear this pandemic has created, threatening disconnection of service and asking for immediate payment over the phone. Please know that we will never ask for your personal information over the phone or demand payment using money orders or gift cards. You can visit to learn how to protect yourself.

Together, we have weathered many difficult times from floods to hurricanes, tornadoes to ice storms. Entergy Louisiana is committed to doing our part to help you navigate this uncertainty while we continue to deliver the clean, reliable and affordable electricity you depend on.
The weeks and months ahead will present many challenges, but I remain confident that we will overcome COVID-19 together and be stronger for it. I hope that you and your family continue to stay safe and healthy.
