Detectives ask for leads in burglary investigation
Press Release from the St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Office:
GREENSBURG---On March 26, 2020 at approximately 0259 hours, the St. Helena Sheriff’s Department received a call to service at 9905 Highway 449, Greensburg, LA 70441 in reference to a burglary alarm.
Upon deputies arrival, the front door of the business, M&M Community Grocery, was shattered and the locks were cut off the gate.
Video footage shows two black males; faces covered, wearing gloves cutting locks off the gates, breaking the glass door to try and gain entry into the store. As one subject tried to enter, the motion sensors triggered causing the alarm to go off and at that time the subjects got into their vehicle, which was a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee and fled the premises heading north on Highway 449.
