From District Attorney Scott Perrilloux
Livingston- District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux reports that 40-year-old Rusty Willie of Denham Springs, LA was sentenced to 50 years in the Department of Corrections after a jury found him guilty of two counts of sexual battery of a juvenile in September.
Judge Charlotte Foster sentenced Willie to 25 years on each count to run consecutive and ordered that the sentence be executed without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
During the trial, Assistant District Attorney Kurt Wall explained to members of jury that on two separate occasions, Rusty Willie committed sexual battery on a juvenile family member.
The victim stated that on both occasions Willie came into the room while she was sleeping and began touching her private areas.
After the second incident the victim informed her parents of what happened and a report was made to law enforcement authorities.
After forensic interviews and examinations were conducted, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Willie on December 22, 2017 for two counts of sexual battery of a juvenile.
