HAMMOND---For the fifth consecutive year, patients’ feedback about the exceptionally consistent care they received at North Oaks has earned the health system’s network of primary care and specialty clinics national acclaim.
“I trust my provider.”
“We have recommended our providers to many people.”
“They worked me in the same day.”
“From scheduling to check out, it was a great experience.”
“My provider is always attentive and respectful when listening to my concerns. She discusses my concerns and problem-solves with me to determine the best course of action.”
“They paid close attention to protecting my patient privacy.”
“My provider answered all questions in ways I could understand.”
“My provider reviewed my records before my appointment and showed knowledge of my problems.”
“I have used North Oaks providers for 12 years.”
“If I had to move out of state, I would still keep my doctor.”
These comments and others like them showcase the patient care that has earned North Oaks clinics the prestigious 2019 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award®. The clinics also received Guardian of Excellence awards in 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015.
The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award® is a nationally recognized symbol of achievement in health care from the industry’s leader in measuring, understanding and improving the patient experience.
As recipients of this award, North Oaks clinics are ranked among the top 5 % of the nation’s health care services in sustaining the highest level of patient satisfaction during a one-year period from May 2018 to April 2019.
“This recognition represents the ultimate achievement because it is based on what our patients have to say about how we care for them,” North Oaks Health System President/Chief Executive Officer Michele Sutton, FACHE, affirms. “Achieving and sustaining this level of excellence for five consecutive years is a testament to our team’s focus on improving lives every time and with every touch.”
Press Ganey partners with more than 33,000 health care facilities — including more than one-half of all U.S. hospitals — to measure and improve the patient experience.
“We are proud to partner with North Oaks Health System in support of their mission to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care,” notes Patrick T. Ryan, chief executive officer of Press Ganey. “They are truly dedicated to delivering exceptional care in the communities they serve, and their commitment to capturing and acting on patient experience feedback is a very powerful demonstration of this.”
