Thompson Funeral Home Gene, age 93, went to his heavenly home on Monday, November 23, 2020 at his home. He was a native of Milwaukee, WI and a resident of Holden, LA. Gene proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a dedicate Marine who fought in WWII and remained dedicated until his death. Gene was active in the American Legion and Marine Corps League. He was a parishioner of St. Margaret Catholic Church. Gene loved his dog, Scarlette and adored his family. He was a wonderful man who will be deeply missed. Gene is survived by his daughter, Teresa Cobbler (Winston) of Salem, NC; step-daughters, Linda Warren Coke (David), Charlette Warren Fornea (John "Buddy"), Elizabeth Warren Barton (Dennis, Sarah Warren Hill (Steven); step-son, Michael Cully Warren (Carol); 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and very special friends, Aric Bankston and John Ditsworth. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elva Daphne Rychlinski; son, Billy Rychlinski; daughters, Jackie Jackson, Cecilia Bartholemew, Francine Brown; and grandson, Kevin Brown. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy 190 W.
