On Friday February 5th 2010, our beloved Mother Marion Marie Delaneuville Duhe, left this life to join God and her loved ones in heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Igar and Emily Marie Landry Delaneuville, her husband Lionel B. Duhe Sr, her beloved daughter, Cherryl Theresa Duhe Ehrhart, two beloved sons-in-law, Eugene Jack Ehrhart and Robert Henry Casse,III.

Survivors include, two daughters Dawn Marie Duhe Simpson & Pamela Ann Duhe Casse; two sons Lionel B Duhe Jr. & Bryan Joseph Duhe; two daughters-in-law, Sabrina Parr Duhe & Sheila Prevost Duhe and a son-in-law Dawson Kinchen. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Douglas Michael Simpson, Cherryl Lynn Simpson, Lorin Michelle Casse, Brittany Nicole Duhe , Jacob Matthew Duhe, Lionel B. Duhe,III (Trey) and Olivia Brooke Duhe. Two great-grandchildren, Heather Lynn Simpson and Micheal Douglas Simpson.

Marion Duhe was active with the Tangipahoa Volunteer Family Community Sunshine Ladies, the Catholic Daughters of Our Lady of Pompeii Church and numerous other charitable organizations. She spent her lifetime in service to God, her church, her family, her community,the needy and the poor.
Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday February 9th 2010. A rosary will precede a Catholic mass which will be held at 11:00 a.m.

Following the mass, the Catholic Daughters will host a luncheon at the Our Lady of Pompeii hall next to the church.

Sicilian Grand Marshal

SDT Waste President Sidney Torres IV has been named Grand Marshal of the Sicilian Festival which runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Independence. Torres is pictured above with Mayor Mike Ragusa and Chairman Reggie Martin holding a case of Castello beer that was presented to him at Town Hall. The genuine imported Sicillian beer will be available at the festival this weekend.
