Livingston Parish Tourist Commission Chairman Denise Martin and Reenacter Chip Landry of Baton Rouge displayed period costumes at the big Civil War Reenactment going on this weekend in Springfield. Former Parish Councilwoman Pat Brister of Mandeville says that she plans to run for St. Tammany Parish President. Incumbent Kevin Davis cannot seek re-election because of term limits. Brister is currently the Director of the Northshore Business Council.

Sicilian Grand Marshal

SDT Waste President Sidney Torres IV has been named Grand Marshal of the Sicilian Festival which runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Independence. Torres is pictured above with Mayor Mike Ragusa and Chairman Reggie Martin holding a case of Castello beer that was presented to him at Town Hall.
